Emergency Financial Support for Temporary Visa Holders

Australian Red Cross provides Financial Assistance to Temporary Visa Holders. 

Red Cross will receive government funding for the next 6 months, to provide emergency relief funding for people who are on temporary visas, and have no way to support themselves.  Support provided includes food, medicine, and crisis accommodation costs. 

To be eligible, you must:

• Be in Australia on a temporary visa;
• Be experiencing urgent financial hardship;
• Cannot access Medicare, Centrelink or other similar services,
• Have no income, savings or other financial support; and cannot be supported by family overseas.
