What is a 457 Visa?
A 457 Visa is a subclass of temporary work visas that allow the visa holder to travel to Australia and work for up to 4 years. Under this visa, the visa holder may bring their family to Australia for work or study. There are also no restrictions on travelling in and out of Australia.
What do you need to get a 457 Visa?

In order to qualify for an Australian 457 visa, you must be sponsored by an approved business. For a business to become an approved sponsor, they must lodge an application to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection and then nominate you for a position within the company. This position can only be filled by a 457 visa holder if they are unable to find an Australian citizen or permanent resident to complete the skilled work.
In addition to this, you must be able to pass an English language proficiency test and meet a variety of other registration and licensing requirements.
